OUR STORY

We were originally named “The Oyster” when our first restaurant establishment opened along Gilman’s Bazaar, Central in 2013. However, this old site was hit hard during the infamous ‘Yellow Umbrella Occupy Movement’ in 2014. After a brief respite, the current premises was relocated to Kwun Tong, Kowloon in 2015. Since then, we have developed our retail section and expanded our home delivery and distribution services​​​​​.
Now called “The Fat Oyster” we continue to strive for maximum customer satisfaction by offering the most affordable premium fresh oysters, wagyu, and seafood products in Hong Kong. We are a popular spot for families and young couples due to our cozy atmosphere and kid-friendly vibe.
We also offer an extensive selection of home cooking delights to suit your needs on any occasion. From caviar to cheese, we can find what you need and share our knowledge to help you get the most out of your ingredients. We love food and simply want to share some of our favourites with you.
